Community Involvement

Crescent Real Estate Equities recognizes the importance of promoting healthy communities in which to live and work.

Dr. Seuss birthday reading

A Fountain Place customer reading aloud to an eager class of students in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

The heart of Crescent’s commitment to the community is FACES of Change® a unique adopt-a-school program Crescent began in 1997. Through this program, Crescent properties are partnered with local elementary schools that serve at-risk students and families. FACES of Change partnerships bring Crescent employees, customers, and business partners together to provide volunteer time, financial and in-kind gifts to partner schools. Since its inception, FACES of Change has established more than 61 successful business-to-school partnerships that have impacted the lives of over 30,000 children nationwide.

School supply donations

Fountain Place is a proud participant in the FACES of Change program and is currently in the fourth and final year of partnership with Onesimo Hernandez Elementary School. Hernandez Elementary is part of the Dallas Independent School District and is located five miles north of downtown Dallas. Over five hundred (500) students attend Hernandez Elementary in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th.

The school receives Title 1 funding with more than 90% of the students qualifying for the Federal Free/Reduced Lunch program. Partnership activities between Hernandez Elementary and Fountain Place have included guest reading days, trick or treating at the building, and school supply drives each fall.
